The Batyrkhan Shukenov Public Foundation created the collection in collaboration with KazakhYuvelir. It is dedicated to a man for whom the saxophone became a voice to the world.
The inspiration came from the Selmer alto saxophone on which Batyrkhan performed his heartfelt compositions. We carefully studied the instrument’s form — from the curves of its body to the keys that reminded us of precious inlays. This is how black onyx and mother-of-pearl — stones traditionally used for saxophone keys — found their place in the collection. We call them «musical stones», as they preserve his character and his sound.
Batyr is a limited-edition collection of transformable jewelry crafted in white and lemon gold. Its geometry is inspired by the saxophone, while its design remains minimalist yet expressive.
